NIMS Medicity, located at Aralumoodu, Neyyattinkara in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, is a leading super-specialty hospital and one of the largest healthcare centers in South Kerala and South Tamil Nadu. The hospital has 40 departments, including 20 specialties and 20 super specialties. Major services include cardiology and cardiac surgery, nephrology and kidney transplantation, neurology, gastroenterology, orthopaedics and joint replacement, critical care, gynecology, pediatrics, trauma care, radiology, urology, and infectious diseases. It also offers 24-hour facilities such as primary angioplasty, stroke management, blood bank services, and advanced neonatal care.
The institution has seven independent ICUs, including medical, coronary, cardiothoracic, neonatal, surgical, and nephrology ICUs. The NIMS Medicity campus also houses a civil service academy, a dental college, a nursing college, and paramedical sciences institutes. Known for its innovation, NIMS was the first healthcare institution in Kerala to install a FibroScan liver scan machine and a leukoreduction blood bank, and it also established Asia’s first hybrid green-energy cardiac catheterization lab.
