Our Industry Expertise

The department also specializes in minimally invasive cardiac surgery (MICS) and Video Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery (VATS), Lung Transplantation for End- stage lung diseases for managing complex cardiac and thoracic conditions.

Leadership – Cardiothoracic Surgery
Dr. Asher Ennis Nayagam, a renowned cardiothoracic surgeon, currently heads the department at NIMS Medicity, Trivandrum.

He performed the first successful Uniportal VATS Lobectomy in Kerala (25/02/2018) and pioneered the Lung Transplantation Programme at NIMS Medicity. He also leads the ECMO Programme and has extensive expertise in MICS and VATS procedures.
